Hey everyone,

I just added a decent sized copper band to my tank to help with my aptasia problem. He was eating and looking great during quarantine. I placed him in the tank 2 nights ago and the Powder Blue and Yellow Tang won't really let him leave this 5inch space by the overflow. It's not quite as bad as it was yesterday, but if he tries to leave that area, they immediately chase him back. He will also eat a little bit if I target feed him in his corner. The PBT will nip at him, but i see no damage. I also added 2 small wrasses and no one messed with them at all.

Any one have any thoughts or suggestions?

Can I ask what size tank it is? It is important to ensure that having two semi-aggressive tangs in a tank have the room they need. A CBB is considered a peaceful fish by nature and while the Tangs establish a pecking order he may be "in the corner" for a few days. The tangs may not have bothered the wrasse's because of their size. If the CBB is close in size to the tangs chances are its a dominance issue and should resolve itself in a few days. There are other things you can do, like removing the agressive fish for a few days, but try letting nature take its course first. Good Luck!

It is 120 gallon tank. They are all about the same size and the wrasses were quite a bit smaller. I hope so. I feed right around that corner where the CBB hangs out and they all eat peacefully next to each other. He was able to venture out a little more last night, but would still pretty quickly get herded back to the corner. He def doesn't have a chance to get to the lower half of the tank yet where i need the aptasia help.

Its encouraging that he doesnt appear injured and he is able to eat. CBB's are really peaceful, just have to let those tangs do their thing. Before you know it, they will all be out together and all will be well ;-)

Looks like they are letting him move around more freely. Still bully him a little bit, but significantly less!
