So I've seen this 3.5" decorator crab in a tiny box at the LFS for over a month that I really felt sorry for. So over the weekend I decided to rescue him from his tiny temp home and relocate him into my fuge. :D

My question is do ya'll see me having any problems with having him in there?

Nothing in the fuge other than rock, sand, macro, couple dibbs turbos, couble nassarius snails.

he'll be alright in there all the "carp" from your main will eventually end up in there to feed him way better than that box

I am sorry to say that he will die a very painful death and quickly foul your entire display tank.

You shoud give him to me. <grin>

Just kidding.
He should do fine. you will have to feed him though I think.

Yeah, he gobbled up the few pellets I tossed in there for him last night. I just don't want him going after my snails. I've heard that they will sometimes eat fish, but he seems so slow I think the only thing I have to worry about is my snails.

Last night when I went to feed him I thought he was already eating one of the dibbs. Turns out the snail was on one of his legs eating the macro he had added to himself. That's one slow moving crab!

Anyone have any ugly zoas or palys to donate to his outfit? I could even toss you some cash. I just don't want to throw my nice zoas in there for him to chop up.

OH YEAH! One more question:
I leave the fuge light on 24/7. Do ya'll think that will bother him?

Thanks for the input!

He'll be perfectly fine in the fuge, he wont bother your snails or fish, only maybe dieing ones if u put em in the sump. As far as 24/7 lighting, thats fine too. He can shade himself if he wants to with rock/macro
