Jeez, you post this the day after I get a SCWD and a closed loop.

LOL! That looks awesome. I have an abundance of powerheads now so I'm going to give it a try.

No problem. I may grab one of those dj power strips for lights to use as a makeshift wave maker and see how it works. the images they showed and the video looked cool though.

You can pick up one of those "Natural Wave" wavemakers (basically just a powerstrip that cycles through the outlets) for about $50. Cheapest I've seen those DJ powerstrips is $30, so it might be worth the extra $20 to go ahead and get the wavemaker.

What is the cycle time on those power strips? I thought it wasn't as useful as a wavemaker or the dj strip because of the long cycle time.

Dr. Foster's has the wave maker on sale right now. I forgot what the price was but if you look on their website they have it listed in their specials.

The cycle time is somewhat adjustable. I used to have one, and as I recall it cycled between 3 of the outlets - 2 of them were basically on opposite cycles, which the 3rd one had a longer cycle that overlapped the other two. There was a knob you could turn to adjust the overall cycle length.

Hey guys, I tried this on my MJs and this works great. It does change direction on every third time it comes back on, Super action!
