Sea Swirl, 3/4" model Scratch n Dent 170.00, 'new' 230.00 approx.

DiY... original article had it at approx $38...

Cost to build myne? maybe 11$ considering I had most the 'junk' on hand. Had to buy the 'box', and tie rod.

It's working pretty good, even considering I redneck engineered it a bit more. (No turnbuckles etc).

Between it, the Hydor on the return line and couple power heads in the rocks I think I've finaly got a flow pattern I can be happy with. (All powerheads, including the one on the swirl are on a wavemaker).
