Do you ever feel like you have lost all concept of the value of money from your FW water days? I used to shop pets mart and get 3 - 5 of whatever was $.99 Now I am about to plop down $80 for this pair of Solomon Island True Perculas.

The only good thing is I plan on fragging them...breeding them. If I can get one clutch of fry out of these guys in the next year then I can more than make my money back.

When I step back... us reefers can look so silly to outsiders... My friends look at me funny when I start smelling live rock at pet stores.

I know that now I hardly even blink at dollar amounts that would have given me a coronary years ago...... It has become the cost of doing reefing.

Sweet looking clown. Did it come with "papers"? :D

The coloration is the papers on these clowns. The way I look at it I am paying double what a TR pair of ocellairs cost but these are WC and have been QTed for 6 months. Also the coloration will be passed down to the off spring. I got a couple other quotes and they wanted $120 - $150.

That's a nice pair of clowns! Are you looking for any more pairs? I was over at Keith's earlier today and he had a few of mated pairs of clowns for sale. I bought a pair of black perculas. I'm not sure exactly which type they actually are. I got mine for $34 for the pair. I went in there just to look around and ended up spending $500. He gave me some real good deals. :D If anybody is looking for any 75G reef ready tanks he is selling his display tanks for $100. He also has a few 58G oceanic reef ready for sale.

The black perculas you got are not Amphiprion Percula but Amphiprion polymnus which are Saddleback Clownfish. I plan on breeding 4 different types of clowns. the Cinnamons in my reef tank, Solomon Island Perculas, Ocellairis, and I will probally get a pair of Gold Stripe Maroons from Keith.

Where have I heard that before?!?!?! I went in to Global today only because I was in the area....I ended up spending $100. I kept telling myself "I'm not gonna buy that, I'm not gonna buy that, I'm not gonna buy that." It dodn't work. I ended up buying that and several other things to boot.

School of 4 anthias, Mandarin goby (biggest I have ever seen, and gorgeous). As a matter of fact John has three more of the jumbo Mandarins if you are interested and have a large tank with lots of rock and pods.
