YES! I do!

I keep getting this message, just by viewing a thread and then either hitting the back button or another link, even though i haven't typed anything.
It's the warning message you would get if you started typing a reply and then tried to leave the page.
It's been happening to me for a couple weeks now on multiple computers.

I'm not getting that error and that is a function of the browser not the site. You may want to clear your cache. If you are on the website and logout it will clear the site cookie so you can log back in and create a new one which might fix it too.

hmmm... Ok, i tried all of that and it's still doing it.
If you think of anything else to try, let me know.
This is the only site I've noticed it on, and it's happening across multiple computers. Same browser, though... Safari.
I can try your above suggestions on my office computer tomorrow to see if it fixes it there.

Haha!

I just tried to recreate what you're saying, Dennis. I wasn't able to, either. I use Google Chrome for the most part, though... don't know if that matters. Friendly FYI.

ok, it seems to have stopped at my office for whatever reason so must be an issue with the home 'puter.
Now if I could just figure out what it is!

lol, actually I'm still having the same problem and I spoke too soon about my office... still does it there too.
And this is still the only forum that does it. Not a big deal, just odd. :noidea:

I see this pop up as well Dennis from time to time. It's intermittent with my work computer. It seems like if I type something in the quick reply window or do certain things when I click the back button or click away from the page without posting what I type (maybe I decided not to post it) I get this message. I always thought it was a warning telling me I didn't finish the last thing I was doing before I clicked away from the page. Think about what you were doing right before you got the message to see if you are finishing that task.

Yep, if you start typing in the quick reply box and then decide to leave the page without typing, that message will pop up. That's what it's supposed to do.
But in my case, I'll make no keyboard inputs. I'll just view the thread and then either hit the back button or the new posts button and get that same warning.
Strange. Must be on my end if no one else has any issues.
As I said earlier, I'm running Safari... in OS 10.9.4
I just tested Chrome and it doesn't seem to be doing it so maybe it's an issue with Safari.
Anyone else browsing with Safari running Mavericks OS?

Well there's your problem. Apple products. LOL

I use Firefox and haven't seen the issue happen like you describe.

I think that is expected behavior i.e. if you start typing in the field and then leave the page. I think d2mini's problem is he has not typed anything and it is doing it to him. but maybe I'm not understanding (lol wouldn't be the first time....)

Yep, you got it.
I think its an issue between marsh and safari. Haven't noticed it with the quick tests i did in Chrome. And no other forums.
