Just got my new (used) tank all set up and filled. Then noticed two, what look like, chips in the glass. They look repaired. I was not told these spots were on the tank when making the purchase. Anyone with experience think these look safe? Or am I looking at having a pond in my dining room in the future?

The first one is about the size of a quarter. The second one is about 1/4 the size of the first

Did you see water in it previously? Think I would have filled in the garage and tested it there for a month, don't know that I would trust it myself.

Yeah I saw a video and pictures of it with water. If I had seen it or known about it before filling it up I would have tested it outside before bringing it in the house [emoji19]

It could last 10 years it could last another 10 minutes if full of water... I wouldn't trust it but I'm paranoid..

That's awesome from that person a real stand up guy to refund you the money.
As Steve said and I'm not paranoid and I take a lot of risk, it's a BIG tank and it makes a nice pond in your house.
Looks like the chip is old and not new with the algae grow in it and as you mentioned that it looks like they tried to fix it from the inside with silicone.

Btw, there is a nice PA 200 gallon for sale. http://www.marsh-reef.org/used-equi...-/54960-planet-aquariums-200g.html#post459334

The guy includes one of the best lights you can have on a reef tank as well.

And if you buy it and my inferno nem split I'll give you the split.

Thank you Ben! That is very generous!! I'll check it out.

I was on a tight budget and found this one for $700 and happy this tank was delivered with 5 guys on hand to pick set it in place because I don't have a truck and my husband had surgery and can't lift anything. Will be hard to beat that.

Yeah I wouldn't trust it. The crack went all the way in the seam so it's definitely risky to set up the tank.

im sure we could come up with 5 guys to help you get another one delivered, dont let that be a factor in your decision... considering this guy is offering to refund your money, id take it for sure and just find another tank... let us know if you do and we can round up the troops!

To all, Nicky got another tank already.

And yes she might need some members to load it in her house :mwave:

Thank you Gregg and Ben!!

Yes on the 12th I'll need some help at my house to unload the tank and stand and out them into place.

Any suggestions on the best way to drain this tank and preserve the salt water I have mixed in it so I don't have to waste it? The seller of this tank is coming to pick it up Tomorrow morning. So the water will need to keep for a week. Iv considered large trash cans? Any better suggestions are welcome
