Good evening,

I have some money burning a hole in my pocket and am looking for recommendations for dosing pumps for my new mixed reef aquarium. I’ve seen Red Sea has some new ones out, but I see a lot of people with connectivity issues on their products so I’m hesitant. I do like the tubing management system they have. Anyone have good experience with these dosing pumps? Or should I get the Neptune Dos pumps?

Also how many heads should I get? I am thinking 4 dosing heads would be good.

I will be manually dosing for a while to get a hang of all of chemical management, but I have the money now so I may as well get it.

I purchased a Kamoer 4F Pro earlier this year to replace my Jebao brand and I'm very happy with it.

It is all Wifi and never had any issues with connectivity. Only knock I can think off is that the tubing is not the same size as others so it may not fit on a prefabricated dosing container.

Man, that’s a nice looking unit and I like that it has WiFi. I will definitely consider it!

I like the idea of using the versa for auto water changes. i think since you can use the same tubing as RO tubing, you can run your lines alot further. My hopes is to try to grab water premix salt water from the other room, and dump old tank water down the drain in another room.

the 4 pack versa seems like a good buy imho. Still in the planning phase so gotta see how well it plays with everything else I have in mind.

I work for RS and have extensive experience with the products. That said, I can assure you that most connectivity issues are relating to the user’s network configuration and how the router manages dual bands (using a single SSID, fast switching, etc). The ReefDose like all other wifi capable aquarium devices cannot use the 5ghz band and unless the user can dedicate a separate SSID for the 2.4 band , the user will experience connectivity issues.
In terms of price, features, accuracy, the Reefdose is hard to beat and RS office is in Houston so spare parts and support is easy to obtain.

Awesome, I will not have this issue, because I’m running UniFi with two wireless networks in my house. One is my main wireless with 2.4/5GHZ (fast switching, etc.) and the other is my idIoT network for all of my IoT devices that is specifically configured so that I don’t have those types of problems.

Then you’ll be happy with the Reefdose.
