Does anyone know of any reliable glass companies that will drill aquariums?

Thank you :)

Call your local glass maker. Tell them you want to get an aquarium drilled and do they know of someone who does that. Around here, depending on size, that can go for $30-$65, more for larger holes.
Of course a better bet would be your local fish store.

hey where are you located. many of us on here have bits that we have used to drill our own tanks. that's one option. the other is that you can go to the local stores and they usually have a bit and will do it.

I will go ahead and give some glass companies a call. I decided I want/need 24" of the back pane cut down 1.5" and even though I do have my own bit, if I crack the tank I lose out where if a company cracks the tank I get replacement or money back :)

Youll find that most wont guaranty the tank when they drill.

Yep, rare to find a gaurantee on drilling glass....
Fellow hobbyists are more fun to work with anyway..plus, libations can be had while doing it(not recommended though)

Well it looks like I'll be doing it myself one way or another because I haven't found a glass company yet that can cut through 3/8", cut through a tank already assembled, or a 12"x1.5" strip....the fun begins :p

I called alot of places about drilling my tank and found only a few that would do it (20.00 per hole) and no one that would gaurantee their work.So I bought the stuff and started drilling them my self. The first hole was VERY scary

What kind and where did you get the bits for drilling? I'm planning out my new tank that is in my garage and considering adding a closed loop to it but the tank is Starphire so I don't know if I'm going to be able to work up the nerve to drill it.
