Dual 250 watt metal halide ballast (1 Viewer)

Looking to buy a new ballast. A dual one. Anyone have suggestions, experience, or a good contact for ballasts? Looking to buy a new one.

I have had good luck with the galaxy dual 250watt ballast.

Galaxy or ice cap. They are the few that will
Fire a radium bulb.

Thanks folks. Leaning towards Galaxy. My last new IceCap Elec. ballast was less than could be desired, didn't get a year of infrequent use before it quit. Had it for two years, but not used all of the time due to moving tanks a few times. I have a PFO single 250 and it is at least 5-7 years old and still firing.

i was told that the Galaxy you are leaning to is a nice one. i am planning on using that one on my new canopy light build.

You should be very happy with it. I use a Lumatek dimmable 250/400 watt and love it. Lumatek and Galaxy are both part of Sunlight Supply. And are basically the exact same ballast, just different heat sinks.

Dual 250 Galaxy workin good, doesn't seem to get overly warm like other ballasts I've used
