ok so I decided to post a my build on line I am taking down my 65 (48l x18d x18h) and up grading it to a 90 gallon rimless(48l x 18d x 24 h). I have custom built the cabinet into my wall so the 90 rimless will work perfect. I will have 3 Ai led's on this tank I am also going to add a reef keeper rke with the net, also I am installing 3 water sensors. one for the sump one for the ro/di unit and one for the salt and fresh holding tanks. I am going to build my own led light with 13 led’s for my 20 gallon sump. can’t wait for it to get here. also I can’t wait for the rke to get here. I wired the wires for the net and the water sensors to day getting ready for the rke to get here wed. I also installed . I will take picks here latter. I also plan to hook up my ro/di filter to 2 holding tanks one 25 gallon for fresh water and a 35 gallon for salt water changes. I plan for this to be gravity feed to the ato and a valve system for salt water changes. while I’m at it I also plan to run a waste water line from the tank to the sink where my ro/di system will be located, that way I can hook up a small whisper pump and pump out water for water changes and open a valve for new salt water to come in.

the new tank I have changed around a little bit since it is now 24 tall it will hide my over flow and all my probes since the viewing area is 19" since it is a rimless I had them put the over flow 1" lower than they usually do. also this should help when wiping down the glass and when I have 1 mp 40 and one mp 10 rocking so that the water will have some sloshing room. I also moved the over flow from the left side to a center box hoping to improve flow. ??? I also plan on painting the back of the tank black .

really excited to see it all come together
this should be sweet .

Hunt,

Did I see a brass fitting on the outlet of your RO unit?

Plans sounds great, looks great so far!

Wow yes you did I did not even think about that I went back and looked yes I saw 2 oops I know I need to change the one on the pressure gauge but the one before the unit should be ok ? Or should I change it to, thanks again dgtg

And yes there is one behind the pressure tank that runs the fridge with water there are check valves so that water then goes through the di stage then to holding I'm open to suggestions to these things thanks again

No thanks necc, Just glad you caught it now, before a year from know trying to figure out where a problem came from. Metallic fitting Before the system-no problem.

I'm of the understanding that you do not want to drink DI water. Throw a tee in the line in between the last stage/before the DI cartridge (one my old system, I had 2 storage tanks with check valves; one for fridge/drinking that was non DI, one for the tank-that was DI'd).

Ok so the ro water goes to the fridge and the 10 gal holding tank then to has to go through the di system to make it to the water change station.

Jason love the AIs they are the best thing ever, I have had 2 for about a year and added one more . Now I'm reall happy with the lighting. No shade spots also the old tank had a center brace so now that that is gone....tis great
