I wouldn't worry about changing anything for a few weeks. Let your cycle get going.

Just let it ride and keep testing your water. Once you 0 out you will then do a large water change. Well, I guess there is no such thing as a large water change when dealing with a nano.

Sweet. I wish I could do a water change in a 5 gallon bucket.

I do complete a water change in a five gallon bucket, 5 of them, and it SUCKS! Up the stairs I go again.

Dude! Get yourself a 30 brute trashcan and call it a day! I mix the water for 24 hours right there next to the tank. Then drain into five gallon buckets for easy transfer to the street. :D Then I just toss a pump down in the brute can and pump the water into the tank.

Or they even have the wheel bases that snap on. Mobil water mixer!

RO set up in garage. Tank is upstairs at opposite end of the house. Haven't quite figured out an easy way to do it yet.

With that setup you are gonna have to haul water no matter which way you look at it. I'd still set your big can upstairs for mixing. Then just use the five gallon jugs to haul the water up to the can, dump it in and start mixing salt in. That way the tub can sit and mix over night and you can do it all at once.

I still get my RO/DI from the LFS. Feel better? :)

It's funny. I would think that with the crazy cash I have spent on this tank I would have picked up the most important part. I guess I just look at it like an excuse to go to the LFS. So if you ever see a guy at City Pets filling a bunch of five gallon jugs with freshwater say "HI". Cause I bet it's me. :)

Who knows, maybe I'll win the grand prize at the fall picnic this coming weekend!!!!!!!
