My achilles is eating frozen brine like crazy but it's losing weight by the day. It eats some Nori but not much. Any suggestion guys? the food has to be small or else he won't eat it.

Are live brine better?

I just feed mine Nori all day, rubberband to a rock or feed him brine throughout the day. It will lose weight fast b/c they are active swimmers. Do you leave the Nori in the tank all day? What other tangs do you have in that tank?

i put two sheets of Nori a day. he eats it but the others swarm the Nori like it's their last meal. That's mainly my problem.

I have 12" vlamingi, blue hippo, sailfin, naso, clown trigger, snowflake eel, mimic, maroon clown, sohal, sm yellow, four chromis.

i have to over feed my fishes for the Achilles to eat. I'm thinking about separating them when feeding time.

Try putting in several pieces of Nori in around the tank all at once so he doesnt have to compete so much for it and once you have seen him eat a enough take the rest out so you dont over feed too bad.

You need to stop feeding brine shrimp. That's like feeding an elephant popcorn. Get him acclimated over to pellet food, nori and other frozen items. Brineshrimp is like candy, but with even less nutrient benefit (if you can imagine that). Fish will always pick brineshrimp over other foods, even to their detriment.
