how much would you charge to rebuild/work on a friends tank for?

a friend of mine said he would help with my tank work, but what should i pay him?

On a friends tank? I wouldn't charge, but I'd assume my friend would be working right along beside me.

If you're asking what the going rate is for trades folks, try calling a plumber over to your house - you'll probably see something around $50 to get him to your house and $60/hour plus or minus thereafter.

IMO it's more important that you and your friend know exactly how to repair a tank as you read on this forum that tanks leak all the time. As far as compensation for a friend, a nice lunch or dinner make more sense that cash.

I would never charge a friend to help with something. As I know a friend would not charge me either.
