Well, I cant believe they locked the thread, I thought everyone was being quite civil.

The day we met I thought you were a nice kid and, like someone in the other thread said, very mature. I wish you had gone about this a different way but that's my opinion and I certainly understand your frustration.

Here is what I am gonna do for you. CALL ME or we can do it right here. Give me your address and I will send you another ballast at my expense. If I understand your frustration properly you are mostly concerned about the financial loss so I would say take the one I mail you and sell it to recoop your losses. Unfortunately there is always risk when getting used equipment but that is the risk we take to save a few bucks.

I understand that you may never want ANY dealings with me again but I dont want this experience to tarnish the the community or the commerce for you so please accept my offer and my apology.

Respectfully,
Scott

Scott unforturnate situation, but that's the chances of buying used things. Could he have miswired it or could it just have finally gave out. No one will really know. He should have checked it out when he picked it up.

Electronic ballasts are sensitive and, even though I am an IBEW member, I have blown one myself by wiring it improperly. I'm not saying that's what happened, just confirming your question.

I will ship the ballast I have to you once I recieve it from CoralVue. I'll PM you my address. I would rather you wait until I have the ballast before you ship the replacement.

Guys, this is between Scott and I now. I don't need your comments about how I was taking a risk when I bought this. Mind your own business. And I thought you guys support everyone on here...

Open forum bro...take it to PM if you dont want everyone in your knickers. ur the one who put Scott on blast, not me.

all the bases have been covered, i.e. risks buying used equipment and the passed opportunity for you to check it out before you bought it.

Im sure Scott sold u something that was in working order and now its costing him money to deal with you.

like i stated, i wouldnt do it, i.e get you another ballast.

Not necessarily true for all Marshians. Had my own share of shading dealings by some members on this board, whom I shall not name.
