What are you fishing with? And when have you been going fishing? I've been wanting to go to st luis pass and go wading back into the bay just haven't been able to make it down there.

Sand trout, they are not a game fish. lol In galveston i either go offshore or fish in the surf with live mullet, shrimp, and cut bait.

Oh, the one time I was checked by a game warden, was when I'd foul hooked a tiny spec and it died. Then my grandpa decided to cut it, because he'd seen some reds. So I was sitting on a bucket with the other half of the trout underneath. Praying that the game warden didn't ask me to reel in his pole, (he'd gone to the bathroom).

I thought whiting and sand trout were the same thing?
