Im planning on using it this weekend. Im going to take my refugium off and add the dosage. Will it be alright to set the refuigum out side for a few hrs while it kills the worms? This way all i have to do is add water to the fuge.

I might be misunderstanding what you want to do :? , but you need to treat both fuge and tank together to kill all forms of the flatworms. It can continue running while being treated, but do the water change as per the instructions afterwards.

You have to treat both the tank and the refugium. If there are flatworms in you fuge, you wont kill them and they will get back to the main tank. Pay careful attention to the directions with the dosage, and follow the directions. You are going to get the flatworms and some good bacteria also. You may have to dose it twice to be sure to kill them all.

Leaffish, I highly recomend treating both refugium and your main tank. You should siphon out as many as possible (flatworms) before treating your tank. Be ready to run huge carbon and have your saltwater ready for a big water change.

Okay i used the flatworm exit. I could siphon out any because my refugium is only 4inches wide. Kind of hard getting anything in there. I disconnected the refugium treated it with about 3 drops and the main tank with the right amount. Reconnect every thing started running carbon. Watched the worms die within 15 minutes. I then did a water change. some where around 10 gallons. I dont see any more flat worms and every thing survived.
