First and foremost, a big thanks to dh (Dennis) for hooking me up with a nice little nano for the daughter. You are the best, Dennis!
As much as I'd like to deck this thing out with some nice zoas and shrooms, my daughter has the final word (well... that and her mother). I have to just go with the flow since I already have a tank that is deemed "mine!" So without further ado.
Here's our 8g Galveston Nano. I hope you enjoy!
I believe this is a male Naked Goby. Kind of looks like a baby lawnmower blenny.
All three of these very little fish went right into a feeding frenzy when I fed them today. Pretty cool little guys, and nice coloring.
I think these are bad snails. Not going in my reef, either way.
Strange sucker fish... I don't know what it is; so if anyone knows... ???
Just put 3 pieces of LR from my big tank in here... I guess it's not totally a Galveston tank, after all.
Some notable mentions for those of you looking to do this in the future...
- The SG was 1.030. I tested the water, and tested it again with my refractometer.
- I used freshly mixed saltwater. I made sure it was 1.030 and I will slowly lower it to 1.025-1.026.
- I know there's too many fish in this nano, but I plan on giving away some of them (heck, if it's possible).
- The damsels will tear up some flake food! The gobies will eat those garlic pellets. Don't know about those sucker fish and snails yet.
If there's anything I should know about any of these fish, please pipe up. Thanks and have a good one!
