Well, my gobie finally ate today. He scarfed down a piece of mysis shrimp.
Ive spent quite a bit of time observing it for the past few days. Luckily it decided to dig a cave right in the front of my tank. So far it simply sticks its head out showing that mean little mug. It really likes to dig so hopefully this wont cause problems. The last thing I need is to come home to an avalanche.
One thing that's shocked me so far is its agressiveness in its territory. I've had quite a few laughs watching this little fish chase those grass shrimp away from its self made cave.
Im real curious to see how it gets along with the watchman I ordered. Well, reordered actually since my pinche starfish decided to eat the little guy that arrived last night. Talk about a bummer and a nightmare rescue attempt. Looking back on the event, I wish I would have taken a picture. Imagine a serpent star, body the size of a fifty cent piece, with a 3inch goby hanging tail out.
I cant blame the star fish for being a star fish, but he didnt survive my overzealous attempt to remove my precious fish. I think it was the flush down the toilet that did him in. The other star is in my fuge and will reside there until my next trip to the lfs.
