do the galveston hermits eat corals? i think i remember reading somewhere that both the peps and hermits from galveston are prone to eating/picking at corals.
The big tan striped ones are "supposed" to be herbivores, but they get huge and I would not trust them. Their scientific name is Clibanarius vittatus if you want to look them up.
I had a bad brown algae bloom so I dumped them in my main tank (from the sump) to do a little cleanup. I added a dozen, with the biggest in a shell the size of a dime. Hopefully my corals will be in tact when I get home from work tomorrow morning!
I also added some peps, but my wrasse takes care of those - usually eats 2-3 a day.
