Just as the title says. I've had a pair of tank bred ocellaris for a month. Now that I've picked up an awesome anemone (thanks chino), I want to get them to host.

Ideas? I've heard a ton of crazy stories, but I want to know if any of them have actually worked for someone.

said it before, i'll say it again. add a little extra vodka when you dose preferably near the clowns so they catch a buzz. then you put the nem in wearing a bikini. i've had nothing but sucess with that method..

seriously though theres not much you can do, mabe try feeding the clowns near the nem so they accidently touch it. thats what it took for my clowns to notice it.

i had luck with the picture trick. Not sure if it actually work because of the picture, but it would be cool if it did.

I've heard this, and it sounds funny, but it has a point. The tank raised fish are not imprinted with hosting because they have never seen another clown host...

IME it doesn't matter what you do. I've had some go right for it, some take a couple months, and others take a year or so. They have all eventually started hosting. I don't think it really matters if they are tank raised or not, it's instinct. Some may just have to mature before they take to it.

Yep. Came home today to see the pair hosting my rose anemone. Just took a little longer than I expected.
