I saw these at the museum and thought they were cute, I had to get EB and E. coli since those are the two that were my first microbes to work with.

We actually give away the same thing for microbes found in waste water treatment plants. Ours are called microbe babies as a take off from the beanie baby craze. We make two new good microbes and one bad bug every year and have been doing it for about ten years. We have people that look for our new bugs every year. It is funny to see what people collect.

Microbe Babies

I kept waiting for pictures of this year's microbes but don't have it. Here are a couple from a prior year.

I'm thinking we need the "Mad Cow" for our kitchen.

More like E.Coli for our kitchens....with different fruit and vegetable beanies for them to sit on...whatever the outbreak of the week is.

Yeah, stuffed or cartoony, those are creepy. Now when my husband complains about my small collection of dustcatchers, I can show him this thread and remind him it could be worse, much worse... :teehee:
