I know there are some gun people on here. My weatherby 30-06 rifle has its safety stuck in the fire position. Can't seem to get it free. Anyone have a reputable gun shop to take it to and have it worked on?

Thanks

You could bring it in to Carter's Country or Gander Mountain they both have gunsmith's on site. Have you tried removing the bolt and seeing if anything poped out of place before you spend the money to have a gunsmith look at it?

Vanden Berg Customs, I have heard great things about this guy.

I couldn't tell you much else then that cause I do everything besides things done on a lathe myself.

You can get on AR15.com and go to the Hometown section then Texas and ask the guys there... there's a lot of houston members and I'm sure someone can guide you in the right path.

Safety being stuck doesn't sound like a big problem if you know how to tear the rifle down.

There is a gun smith in Texas City a little ways down the road. The store is called Shooter's Corner. Hope that helps. The guys at Marburgers may could help you in Seabrook as well. Don't know if they do gunsmithing there on site though.

Thanks for the responses guys. I have tried pulling the bolt out and it didn't free it up. I use this gun maybe twice a year so its not like its dirty or anything. I will have to try taking it down to texas city and see what they can do.
