I dont think it could be phytoplankton growing in the tank... theres to much stuff that would compete or contaimate it... its so easy to contaminate and kill a culture your growing I have a hard time thinking it was able to take over a whole tank enough to turn it green....

I've seen plenty of tank photos on RC where people OD their tanks with live phytoplankton and they end up with a massive explosion of it. From what I've read, it happens fast, especially if the tank is nutrient-rich.

The tomato’s have done it twice now in the last two months and in the middle of the day, very odd. Maybe because there is usually less traffic through the house, I don't know.

Forgot to add that we got it on video the first time because we came home in the middle of it.
