Thats a bizarre de-cocker. I would imagine the gun was designed primarily to carry cocked and locked like a 1911. I have a walther PPKS 380 and it de-cocks by engaging the safety like my sigs which I don't mind since it's DA/SA. I too would be wary of guns that you have to pull the trigger to decock. Similarly to pulling a trigger to dis-assemble like the aforementioned Glock :) Walther has a history of making fantastic arms so I'm sure you'll be happy with it.

Ever see the youtube video of the DEA Agent? "I am the only one in this room qualified to carry a gun", then he shot himself by accident in a class room......

LOL yes I did see that and thank God he didn't shoot a kid. When I was in the military I read endless safety report of Marines shooting themselves in the legs with Glocks when trying to take them apart. Marine jokes aside, I don't feel comfortable with anyone but an absolute expert handling a small arm that requires you to pull the trigger to do anything other then shoot the weapon.

Ok finally got off my lazy butt and am going to post a couple pics. Thought I'd throw up some long guns to add some variety to the thread.

LR10(.308) and M1A SOCOM II (.308) Night vision is cool, but the LR10 actually has a scope on it now. The M1A has a surefire and Aimpoint. Also swapped out the stock muzzle break and put a meat tenderizer on it. Setup for CQB, hope I never need it for that.

A couple of these are going to have me in them so sorry for making ya look at my ugly mug more. I have since cut my hair

This pic has my Remington 700 XCR 300WSM with a Leopold scope

Here is one of my shotguns, pretty over under that I had fit to me by Larry Feland (who's great). Browning of course. Usually use this for fair weather dove hunts and where I need to keep track of my hulls.

This is my Berretta Sporting clays 12ga. Love it, amazing shotgun.

And my Senior soon to be Master Hunter Tank
DSC00739.jpg

I've got a myriad of other rifles.
Browning automatic in camo for duck/geese and other nasty conditions
1911 from WWII
German Luger from WWII
Civil war musket
Damascus double barrel
My old competition P16-40
XD 45
Sig 239 in 40
PPKS 380

And I could go on and on LOL. Good thing there's no such thing as too many guns. Biggest problem I have is finding a place for the safe.

Heck, we may be related!!

O yeah I also have a glock 23, GSG 1911-22 but have shot many firearms lol :p

I'll trade you a glock 21 first gen, even up, for the 1911...... (thought you might need a chuckle).

I also have a 700 in 30.06, StarCarbine - AR15, SKS, Remington 1100, Winchester 870, a closet full of .22's and a few other long guns. My pride and joy though is my 1849 colt baby dragoon. I will post some more pics later, when I aint so lazy.

haha yeah I hear you. When I shot a M1Garand I almost cried (not really) but man...there's nothing like shooting a piece of history, but god...the loading and reloading...then hearing *plink*, I could only imagine how it felt in the field.

Just completed my CHL class last night. Took all freakin' day. 0730 to 1900. Anyway, after learning how to load the gun, make it safe, stance, and shooting on Friday, I scored a 248/250 and passed the exam in class Saturday. I had been considering trading my Walther P99 Gen 2 for a compact but after shooting it, I think it's a keeper. I will just have to add to the collection. Love my P99.

Good job! You are still invited over to see my small collection and, oh yeah......, the tanks I am building!

Absolutely planning on it, Hank. Been a crazy ending to this week, and I have a new software project that is rapping up Tuesday. When everything settles down, I will be over. I'm already analyzing my next firearm purchase. Are gun shows good places to go?

Gun shows are great, yet addictive as aquariums........

They (bump stocks) are fun, but they will get you kicked off of every public range. You can bump fire without the special stock with practice though. check out youtube - bump fire vids.

You are right about getting kicked off the ranges. Thats why you always take it to the private land with more than 12 acres of land around it. Then, when the cops come, you can just invite them to shoot with you for a few min lol.

Though I "think" the Arms Room in league city will let you use it... they rent out full auto weapons.
