I have a green BTA that has split a few times and would like to thin the population. Is there a good was to detach them from the rocks w/o injury?
I may try to bring a couple to the swap if sucessful (and schedule permits).

mine was pretty easy to peel off when I had to. just start at the foot and walk your fingers along one side where it is attached to the rock. the only way you'll injure it is if you puncture it (watch those nails) or if you pull on it while it is snagged on a bit of rock. if some tissue appears caught on a rock, just fan some water at that area til it lets go on its own. it's really not that difficult. they're not super strong or anything. good luck.
