Okay. I did not think mine had crashed I thought they might have just slowed down since the water temp keeps going down...
Send me directions to get to your place via PM. We can probably come tonight if that is good for you?

Wonder if u have pre-mix(mixed for more then 2days) water at 0.015 yet because rotifers dont like new mixed(less then 1day) water.
I always use water that has been mixed long then 2-3days to culture my rotifers and have great cultures. I have tired new mixed water(1day old) and had a few crashed.

I don't recall how long it had been mixing for probably 24hrs maybe.... But the water that I have now has been mixing since Friday night or Saturday morning because I went and got more freshwater on Saturday & Sunday. One brute can for freshwater & one big barrel for saltwater mixing.

I was reading somewhere's that the rotifer water needs to be the same as the tank water that the fry was in if it is not and you put them into that water with the fry the rotifers will go into shock and die. Is this not correct???? Because the tank water is 1.024 that the eggs are in.

You can bring your tank water down to around 0.019 and rotifers should be fine.
What i do right now is use half tank water and half new water and the salinity is around 0.019. I raise my babies around that salinity without any problem..

Reasons why i raise my babies at low salinity. My growout salinity is at 0.016

1. keep diseases away(many marine diseases cant live at that salinity)
2. save u salt because u have to do lots of waterchange.
