What is this thing?

I bought this green clown goby from a LFS on Friday. He looked fine. Today I noticed he had this white puffy spot on his cheek. After I moved him to a breeder cage, I realized it looks like his whole cheek is puffed up and bruised and the skin is split with puffed up white coming out and black edges. Is there anything I can do?

Tank: 20L been up and running for around 7 months. Lots of softie corals, one green mandarin, hermits, and snails. The mandarin has been in there for a little over 3 months and he looks fine.

Any aggression from tankmates or coral sting? Possibly Lymphocystis or tumor...hard to tell without a skin scrape.

He has pretty much stayed right where I dropped him in. He found a nook in a rock and just chilled there. The mandarin was spending more time over there than usual but idk there was any aggression. There was a hermit nearby when I scooped him up to put him in the breeder box. Would a hermit do this?

I'm leaning more towards tumor just because it looks like something is coming out of his face but it just popped up in the last couple days. I'm pretty sure it wasn't there when I got him but idk.

No, a hermit wouldn't have the capabilities unless the animal was already dead. I'll lean towards Lymph or tumor unless you can get a better pic or something else develops.

Thanks for the help but he was dead when I got home. He was a cool guy for all of three days...
