Ok, I ordered 90 lbs of HiRock's for my 110 long tank...

Waiting on them to come in...

What do you think I oughta use to seed it?

I'm also thinking about putting a DSB in a refuge/sump instead of the main tank...due to some concerns that have surfaced recently on having them nuke the tank after a couple of years...that way it's easily removable.

As it sits, the sump will have about 2500gph running through it...I'm kinda worried aobut kicking up a sandstorm down there...

What I'm considering doing is having the tank overflow into the sump, have the skimmer in the sump, have the sump overflow into the refugium and then pumped back up to the tank..

Good/Bad/Indifferent or am I just re-inventing the wheel?

I would tee off the overflow and go to the sump and fuge at the same time. Set the fuge higher than the sump and let it gravity feed back to the sump. THe reason why is the fuge needs slower flow, and the inhabitants need food, if you skim the water before going to the fuge your taking a lot of the fodd away from it.

Well I have a hang on box....it's already split in two so that's not a big deal...

Serious consideration there...any others?
