On evening walks in the hood Scotty get weeds , I think they're call hitchhiker or stickies, that get on his fur and he won't let me get them off w/o getting a piece of my flesh for his gnawing pleasure. Was going to take him to the groomer but it's cost prohibit since this bounds to recur again on his nightly walks.

And, yeah, I already tried a muzzle on him.

Maybe encourage or distract him with a treat. Like peanut butter or something he really likes.

A muzzle would do the trick. It looks like this....

There are also cloth ones that could work too but they still allow for the possibility of nipping since the mouth is not completely enclosed.

How well trained is the dog? He shouldn't be doing that at all, especially if you're the alpha.

A properly fitted muzzle and head halter would allow you to groom him though.

Hey was that a glancing blow at my manhood :). My other dogs are pretty submissive to me but this God beaten, crazy dog is a problem child. He charges at cars, kids, cats, rabbits, or pretty much anything that moves. I think he's sort of loca in the head for sure.

@narny that reminds me of Hannibal Lecter. Too bad they don't make one for smaller dog. I got one that made of plastic which kinda worked but can't keep him still.

I tried treats(expensive beef jerky,no less) he's too smart for that though.

No, sorry :) my dog is half Akita so I've had to train her pretty intensively. 13 years later she still tries to sneak in dominance moves here and there...
