im using this new test and am not sure if im doing it rite...

1. i put 2ml of my aquarium water in the test tube....
2. than add 1 level spoon they gave u of Ca 1 powder thingy withoug stirring them yet....
3. thean i put eight drops of Ca 2 liquid into the tube....
4. i then used the 1ml drop it to the water turns a slight clear blue...
5. then i turn the syringe thingy upside down and read part where the water ends in...im reading .19 ml left i think somewhere around there..so i used the equation C=(1-.19) X 500 rite??
So i got Ca in ppm around 405. I still dont feel confident that it should be around there...sat when i check it was at 175ppm....Yesterday i put like 12tbs of turbo calc in there and today i checked....it was around 405ppm...sumting jus dont add up...oh does the salifert instructing jus comes in a single white sheet of paper with no drawing diagrams to at least show me if im doing the correct way or not....Please help me out..

Be sure to mix it up after you add the 8 drops of Ca2 reagent, and mix it after you add each drop of Ca3. Other than that, the procedure sounds correct.

Unless you only have a 20g tank, that's not enough Turbo Calcium to raise the Ca that much. Maybe your old test kid was inaccurate?
