I run my LED's on my 30 gallon 6-10 hrs depending if I am home or not. Like on the weekends I will keep the lights on longer that the week days. Another question to ask is do you have corals in the tank?

Yes have a few mushrooms and a lobed brain coral.

I have Zoas, Star corals, and leathers that do fine on that schedule, and I have minimal algee growth. The Brains need pretty intense light and I am not sure on the output of the Orbit fixtures. Maybe someone with more brain coral experience can chime in.
