I was watching a video from BRS about the AI Prime HD lights and it got me to thinking about my lighting for the soon to be complete 75G build. Would a pair of Prime HD's work for a 75G tank? The coverage area is reported to be 24X24 per light and the 75G is 48X18X21 with a top center support bar. I have a mix of soft/leather and LPS corals and am not planning on running SPS in it for at least a year or so. I was thinking that if I got a pair of them and mount one over the center of either side of the tank about 8 inches up they should provide enough par for the current corals I have. Later on when I want to start adding SPS I can add another pair of them spaced apart to bring the total to four.
Does anyone have experience with these specific lights in a similar configuration and can let me know if this will work?
Thanks in advance.
