Last night my green bulb anemone moved up aginst my filter and has been partialy sucked into the filter tube. I moved the rock that the anemone was attached to away from the filter. The anemone is torn, stringy and dosen't look so good. My question is how well does an anemone heal itself and does anyone have any sugestions on what I can do to help it?

Is it possible for you to post a pic? My LTA has done this twice recently but I was very fortunate that it didn't get shredded on the base anywhere. The first time it had a tear near the mouth and the tentalces where pretty chopped up but it has bounced back both times. How big is your tank and describe your system. Good water quality and good flow will help IMO.

yeah leslea is pretty accurate....I have had them get tentacles get caught in intakes of powerheads or power filters and the anemone does get a little torn but each time has recovered fine...maybe see if the anemone will take food...if so that is a good sign.

What lighting do you have on your tank?
