IceCap 250 watt electronic MH ballast (1 Viewer)

I recently replaced a PFO with an IceCap ballast, still have one PFO on system with the IceCap. The IceCap ballast seems to produce a real blue tint with a 14K Hamilton, the PFO ballast with the same bulb appears alot brighter to the naked eye. Both ballasts are firing new bulbs. Has anyone else experienced this before with other combinations?

you bet. you can even see the difference between now generation icecap 250 and old generation.

Okay, new issue. We have noticed the light flickering that is fired by this ballast. Not constant. just every few seconds, sometimes about ten. It has also started shutting off for no reason, fire back up after the waiting period. I have checked all connections(all original) and they are good. It is just a standard no name mogul single ended socket. Nothing appears wrong, it doesn't get hot at all. It is only 6-7 months old. Any thoughts?
