Precision Marine Hot +1

I ahve a red sea prizm deluxe with the pump going out, its done a good job, but I think it can always be better. Does anyone have experience or preferences with any of these, I hope to get one or order one depending what the outcome here is by wed.

Thanks.....

I've used both the Remora and the BakPak. The Remora blew the BakPak away. Haven't used the PM before, but I know their bigger skimmers are good.

I have a CPR bakpak and it works well. Very easy to use and produces some really nasty skimmate. I basically set it the day I got it and haven't had to adjust it since. Just dump and clean the skimmer cup from time to time :)

I used the CPR backpack in Chicago before. It seemed to do a fine job, but never had another skimmer to compare it to. The collection cup is a bit small, so I wouldn't recommend it for a larger tank and make sure you clean it often to keep it efficient.

I also wasn't very diligent about top-off when first starting out and I found the CPR would be less efficient when my tank water level dropped. Once I moved the CPR to the sump and started doing topoffs(both of which kept the water level constant) the CPR did much better.
