I've been going to Inwood Aquarium for quite a few years now. They get in a bunch of ORA fish, but quite often bring in some large and dwarf angels for killer prices. Picked up this regal angel for $60. Currently he has a gorgeous, fat and healthy show-size powder blue tang for $65. It's probably 6+ inches.

It's a great spot to check out if you're looking for juvie/adult queen angels, or other large angels like adult blueface, annularis(!), koran, and majestic. He regularly has some nice butterflies. Last week he had a healthy copperband for $20.

If that is the address Steve they are right by my office. I had no clue there was a fish store there. Sweet!

Ive been there like twice. Never saw anything decent, I think petco is nicer. Its like the store hasnt had any money put into it since the 80's. I Used to work right by there off breen. Thats store needs a lot of upgrades, a lot of time and some investment just to get it on par with some of our other sponsors like fjw. Hell i think B&B is 10 times better. But then again it is in the ghetto so why would you put money into it.

B&B is 100x better, but the prices at Inwood are hard to beat, even here on MARSH or on Craigslist. They get a shipment on Tuesdays (not every Tuesday, only when they're running low on stock) and have a pretty broad selection - dwarf angels like flame/rusty/bicolor/lemonpeel/coral beauty/yellow, triggers like picasso/niger/clown/blue jaw/pink tail, mandarins, $8 firefish, all the ORA clowns, tangs like yellow/blue/powder blue/powder brown and that's probably not even a fraction.

Sure, the place is not pretty but so what? If you're in the area, I would definitely check it out, especially on a Wednesday.

If you think that store is bad, you should check out this store:

Tropical Fish & Pets
13628 Texas 249, Houston, TX 77086

I seriously don't understand how this place has not been shut down yet. It's APPALLING.

It actually used to be pretty nice about 5 years ago with the previous owner.

lol.... I don't care about what they look like on the outside. If they have good stock and take care of the animals correctly that's what counts to me.

ultimate fish on 2920 is one of those that is umm not so good...

Haha I live across the street from Ultimate Fish and they take as bad care of their SW tanks as they take good care of their FW tanks. Every time I'm in there, they're vacuuming the gravel in the FW tanks, but I never see them maintaining the SW section.

I do see a lot of sick fish at Inwood, and it's no surprise when you see the flow rate into the tanks from the sump...

If you read the thread on fishbox, you'd see why I am now selling it. I did not buy the fish with the intention of reselling. I used an acclimation box the entire first day, and released it at night. Considering I only had a dwarf angel and 2 blennies in the tank, I figured there wouldn't be an issue. Sure enough, my dwarf angel didn't take a liking to the regal, and despite being less than 1/2 the size, it bullied the regal non stop. Instead of putting the regal through all the stress, I figured I may as well let it go to someone that could better provide for it.

Someone from this forum (I won't name them, but they're a regular) offered me $60 with the rationale that's what I paid for it. I told him he could have it for $70 because I paid $60+tax. The $100 was my asking price, nowhere in the listing did it say the price was firm. Like someone said, you gotta love capitalism. What's the problem with trying to make some money in the rehoming process?

If I bought the fish to flip it, do you think I would post in this thread what I paid for it?
