anyone use iron to kickstart the refuge?

not I. from what I understand there is plenty of it in the mud products, if that's what your using.

I dose the chelated iron if i notice the tips of my micros start turning white and it also makes them grow faster for about a week then they go to normal grow.

numb, dont try to fix the fuge problem with a bottle of magic potion. If algae wont live in the fuge, then adding iron wont fix that problem. It will only accellerate growth.
But like said before, the only thing we need to add to our water is salt and calcium. Do water changes regularly and all should fall into place...
P.S. NICO, what are the "tips of your micros"?
