Might be Brook. Velvet usually leaves a brownish/redish color on the skin. Brook likes to create a heavy slimecoat that falls off and secondary bacteria infections can occur. Either way get the correct diagnoses because two totally different treatments and both are very very fast acting usually within 24-48 hrs death will occur.

For sure get it into a separate hospital tank. I agree it looks like brook or velvet, oodinium (have trouble seeing the difference) but both are very nasty and very contagious, as in wipe out the whole tank in three days contagious.
Rid Ich + is available at most big box fish stores (petco/petsmart) and has a combo of malachite green and formalin which are the best for brook. Formalin is formaldehyde so you can imagine how harsh that is for the fish. Usually, when already in that weak a state, it is not going to make it, but might be good to do a bath and hospital tank for your other fish to avoid total loss. And it's worth a try because it won't make it otherwise.

Thanks for the replies but I am sad to report we are too late.
I lost a yellow tang, 3 angel fish and that BF bufferfly, one after another in 3 days. I have had them from 1 yr to 4 yrs.
The only fish I have left in the tank are 2 clown fish. They look weak but they are hanging on and are eating a little so there maybe hope for them.

Any idea how you got it? Have you added any new fish or corals to the tank recently? I am always curious how these things get into people's tanks. Tell us what you suspect (if any idea) as others can hopefully learn from your experience, as sad as it is. Sorry about the loss of your fish.

I hadn't added any fish or coral in 6 months or more.

I think it may have gotten into my system during the process of replacing my house carpet & tile and I had to empty the tank to move from the study to the foyer and back. There were a lot of dust thrown up in the house that I didn't expect.
I changed 50-60% water, hooked up skimmer and carbon. I tested and had 0 ammonia, 0 nitrite, maybe 5 nitrate.

My corals were doing even better than before. The fish looked fine for 2 weeks and it started to happen.
It's a 125 G btw.
