Have a question.

I've had this rock in the tank since July 8, 2011. I bought it from ReefRancher because of the nice zoas and other life.

Ain't it pretty?

Tonight my wife and I were looking around the tank for a missing fighting conch (who knew they buried themselves in the sand? OK -- put your hands down. We didn't!) and I saw something amazing.

What the heck? This rock has a mouth. Is it an oyster of some kind? Some kind of clam? I think it obviously a bivalve of some kind.

This hobby never ceases to amaze me.

Hi, TexanReef.
So you've had a jewel box for over a year and it's still alive? Now that's what's awesome...

good job, dude...

Thanks, guys.

I've no idea how long it may have been in the other person's tank but I must admit I was pretty stunned when I saw it was more than the "baseball rock" as we've been calling it.

It was an exciting discovery
