Thinking about picking up some jebao rw-8's

Has anyone had any experience with them

I don't clean them regularly and they work fine. I have used a couple of them at any point over the past few years. Have I had to replace parts of them (you can order individual parts instead of having to replace the whole unit)? Absolutely. Are they cheap? For sure. Do they work? Without a doubt. Their counter-parts for the more premium brand are roughly $250-300. You could replace the Jebaos 3-4 times and break even. Even if each powerhead only works for a couple of years, I think that's a fair value. I would also recommend buying a backup just in case one of them gets a broken part and has to go out for a week or two until the part can be replaced.

My RW-8 all failed one year later, even with a new impeller ;-(

My WP-60 is running since years.
There is a new version of the RW-8 I just bought a few weeks ago, and so far they are nice and have better performance.

They call the new improved version now PP instead of RW.
