The wife and I spent all day Saturday going dealer to dealer looking for a new Jeep. We wanted the new 2013 Rubicon 10th Anniversary Edition. Finally towards the end of the day we found exactly what we were looking for! Go a great deal on it also.

We spent all day today cleaning it up and driving around getting used to it. This is our first Jeep and it's definitely different from a car! Haha. We love it. I'm ready for years of muddy enjoyment. :3gears:

Here she is.....

That's a great platform to start from. I miss my TJ, but it seems most of my disposable income goes to one of the tanks these days. You'll have a blast once you get out and start knocking some of the shine off of it. Don't have tooooo much fun though, or it'll end up like mine (see picture). And no, she wasn't in it with me when I rolled it.

"Mudding" is easy to find locally. Finding places with a bit of topography requires more driving. Texas Jeeps and Houston Jeep People are two of the more active clubs in the area. I think they are both on meet-up, and have regular get togethers. I always had the most fun when I went with them up to the hill country.

I'm a member of Houston Jeep People. If you don't like drama don't join their facebook page. I would find them on meetup.com and join it thru that, its more "offical".

Jeeps are another breed. I have a 06 KJ with a lift and custom bumper. It has some natural pinstripes, but I love her and always surprises the JK/TJ crowds at meetups.

Make sure you wave at every Jeep. I wave at everything with JEEP on its hood.

Looks great. Are there really any places around here to go mudding?

I live on the San Jacinto river with trails all through the woods along the river. There's also a 700 acre 4x4 park just north of me in Huntsville. Plenty of places around here to get muddy!

I'll be right here very soon with my buddies.

I'll have to check them out. I'm used to the wave thing with my Harley. Must have waved 15 times today on my way to work and back LOL.
