Hello everyone,
I recently got a 40g cube from reefermike.
It has everything, I really am excited about this one.
Everything it came with....
- 40g cube
- stand
- canopy
- 10g sump
- reef octopus skimmer
- iwaki closed loop pump
- 150w mh
-led stunner actinic lighting
- reef keeper lite
and lots of misc. stuff (fragging kits, millions of pumps, chemicals, etc.!)
Ialfeady cleaned everything , and I fillies it up last night to get freshwaterfliwing through it. But I have a few questions on how much of a CUC i need. Is a 150mh fine for most sps? And should I dose? Those are just a few questions I have.... Plenty more to come lol... Reply with as much info as possible lol:) have a good day marsh!!

No promblem, the owner always ships way more than needed, but whatever you feel is enough you can sell to a LFS.

Congrats on scoring your new tank,

How long have had your tank set up? Can we see some pics of the setup? I would not put in a cuc for at least a month after the tank cycles. I recommend waiting for the parameters to steady out.

Heres a key to your cycle....go to city pets. Find Donnie, walk to the check out, you see the little tub of fish that are swimming around? I got four yellow tangs for my 10 gal. Donnie didnt even bag them up, just thru them in my front shirt pocket. Now they are in my bathtub, still kicking and swimming, even after all them kiddo baths. They are cheap, will swim 24/7 a day, i dont ever feed mine, and gives you something to look at while you cycle.

These are fake fish.

How long as the prop tank been running? Also unless you have kept sps successfully and know how to know if something is just a tad off by looking at your tank I wouldn't even attempt to add sps to a tank under a year old especially in such a small volume but on the flip side you did get some easy sps.
