Just curious about what fish can be housed with a Lawnmower Blenny. I have one named Phil who I'm pretty attached to and he's currently in with a skunk shrimp and a nassarius snail, but once tanks get reshuffled, I was thinking of adding in a new fish. The fish has to be small enough for a 16g tank. Also can different Blenny species be kept together? What about Gobies?

Mmk. Anyone else? My plan was to try a black and white clown, but I'm beginning to reconsider incase the clown is mean to the blenny or vice-versa.

Okay, so nothing that'll invade Phil's space. I can work with that. Thank you.

I've kept other gobies and blennies with my Lawnmower. You just gotta make sure theres enough space for everyone. 16g is pretty tight as it is. You should avoid any fish that resembles a Lawnmower blenny. Also avoid other algae eaters. If another fish grazes the Lawnmower blennies favorite spot, world war 3 might break loose in your tank.

But it's mostly a gamble. My Lawnmower is obsessed with it's reflection. It spends all it's time fighting it's reflection. Everyone is my tank is mellow and I have not seen any hostility.

Mine seems pretty chill and he can be a bit shy ^^;; I think it's because my sister called him fat one time. After that he quickly swam behind a decoration and peaked around the corner lol. He was kept with seahorses and a watchman goby and didn't cause any problems to those fish, but I'm worried that if he gets too comfortable he'll end up being a bit aggressive. So no herbivores with him, what about omnivores?

not sure its a gamble. Its all up to your blenny. Some are more aggressive than others.

I have a yellow tang, and lawnmower and they both are friendly to each other.

But i've head stories about them being friends and all of a sudden the tang looked the the lawnmower the wrong way and the tang got hit with a beer bottle across the head.

True story lol.

Haha I'm glad my sister isn't a fish. Well I guess I'll just have to wait and see what happens and hope for the best.

Thanks Steve. That list of yours covers a number of fish that I'm interested in, though tangs and the bass need too much space. Honestly with the way our house is, I don't have room to have anything bigger than the 55g and that is for the seahorses, not Phil. He gets the 16g for now.
