I have a 3.5 gallon nano with 2-13watt pc's, 1-10k, and 1 actinic. Work awesome, i have mushrooms, a gorg, some zoa's, and a small plate coral....my best advise is to go to www.petsupplyliquidator.com and ask them, they built an awesome set-up for me cheap, all ready to go , plug and play...

I've got the 32x2 csl retro on my 5.5 gallon and I'm very happy with them. Cost around $100 not including the canopy I had made. Very happy with them so far. I have no limit to what I can keep in that tank.

13x2 sounds very low light for a 5 gallon in my opinion. I have 13x2 on my 2.5 and I wish I had better lighting every time I look at it. Let us know what you decide on...
