I just got a set of these guys they r 250 w ea jw wats the best way to adjust or acclmate my tank to them. I've heard start 15in or so then slowy bring them down.
Put the at 10 but only for 3 a day n slowly increase time.
Start at 10in with some mesh or glass in between.
So I'm a bit undicided wat do y'all recommend?

You got that all wrong, you need to turn them over first for 2 days so your AC can get used to the climate change in your home.

I'm not sure there is really a right way per say. You can acclimate by length of photo period, by intensity or both... what type lighting are your corals used to?

I would put some solar screen in between the lights and tank maybe 3-4 layers thick. And then remove one layer every couple of days. Those radiums are pretty intense. Enjoy

you can get as close as you want, just remember though that the radiant temp from the lights will heat your tank up. I had them 12 inches of the water with a sheet of glass underneath and a fan blowing across them to keep them from heating the water. I had absolutely zero heat transfer from the bulbs to the tank. I had them on a 5 foot tank so there was some shading in the middle of the tank, but nothing too severe, just move the reflectors closer together.

Yeah even with the glass your going to able to grow any variety of corals that you want. The limiting factor might be that some dont like as much light so you will have to put them in some shaded areas.
