Anybody using the mitras? I'm leaning towards it over radion mainly because of the 3'x2' spread they are advertising. I'd like to see the new radion pro, but I don't want to wait until mid January for it. The light will be going over a 35x35x24 cube. Anybody have an opinion?

I don't know any particulars about the Mitras, but I'd just want to just make sure in getting that spread they didn't use optics that sacrifice light depth penetration, if that's an issue with you.

I'm not sure what optics come with mitras. I've seen the par readings and the spectral graph and it appears to be solid. The 3x2 spread is appealing bc I think one light would look better over the tank. My instant gratification side wants mitras, but the radion pro looks to be equal with par, would just need 2 of them which makes it $200 more. Just wish I could look at them side by side.

Do any of you radion users plan to get the pro when it's available?

If you have not seen the Mitras, All About Fish has one over a 36x36 tank and the coverage is great. If I had the money, I would get one. I have been researching led light lately and I cannot find a bad word on the Mitras.

Just read through that whole RC thread, very impressive. Agree that the 3 foot tank with one light and full coverage looks pretty cool.

Yes, it looks awesome and great coverage. The price aint bad. It's cheaper than Radions if you consider light coverage and performance. Also a great company with excellent reputation.

I concur. And their engineering/build quality is tops. At least that's what I've experienced with their Profilux line.

Although their customer service is good, I still give Ecotech the edge on that one. You can easily deal direct with Ecotech, no need to go through retailers. But you can't really go wrong either way.
