Had an MRI on my right knee, it showed torn cartilage (medial meniscus) and torn ACL. Ugh, looks like surgery might be in my future. :scared:

It's starting to feel like 2014 might be a lost summer for me...

Steve,

Typically neither of those structures in the knee get better without surgery. Time to find a great sports med surgeon. The medial meniscus typically is just resected and made even, it is rarely repairable. The ACL is replaced with a cadaver graft (dead guys tendon). Going to be a lot of physical therapy post op but folks do great with these surgeries. Good luck!

Go to dr first in clear lake guy is world class and probably best around. He is a little blunt but incredible surgical doctor.

Thanks for the referral, Jason. I think I'll give this guy's office a call on Monday. My current doc at UTMB has been kind of slow to respond to my calls.

thanks,
Steve
