Should be about 1100gph through the sump, I went with an external skimmer too. My gf has been wanting a nano for quite awhile and I think it would be cool to have on the bar in the kitchen, plus it was a good deal.
I'm going to buy some premade doors(or have them built) and either try to match the stain or stain them black to match the trim.

Freshwater tanks can be cool too, I kept Discus back when I was in highschool, before I got my saltwater tank with the UG filter and and a Skilter protien skimmer.

I'm impatient to see the new one with the toys and water in it. I'm silently willing you to fill that thing up!.... can you feel that tickle on the back of your neck? thats me willing you to fill up the tank. Take some pictures for us while you're at it!

I'm ready too, believe me. I'm working alot right now and barely have time for anything, plus we are going out of town and dont want to leave my mom with a new tank setup. Skimmer wont be here till next week anyway.
I did do a waterchange on the 90 and set up Jamies nano tonight. Also installed the moonlights and new VHO's in the 170.

Picked up my skimmer and 70 more pounds of sand tonight, should have everything I need now to do the change over...other than time. Hope to be really close by this weekend.
Skimmer is the new Super Reef Octopus XP2000 External Cone. Hopefully it does its job.

Finally an update.... the new tank has been up and running since late Tuesday night and everything is doing well. I didnt spend a lot of time on the rockwork as I was just trying to get everything put in and stable, plus it was going on midnight. I'm pretty happy with everything but will probably take a few pieces out.
I've ordered some frags off of RC that will be here next week which include: pokerstar monti, shamrock monti, superman monti, supergirl monti, sunset monti, pink polyp blue rim monti, reverse sunset monti, purple hornet zoas and some superman zoas.

Here are some pics,

Wow, it all looks great. I like it quite a bit. I go to work for a few days and when I come back everyone has met Levenson, Borneman, Plankis, got their tanks up and running... bought stuff, sold stuff.... grr I hate work. Necessary evil though. Congratulations it looks outstanding.
