Just a short update... They have grown since I last posted and I also did a head count when I changed out the water yesterday and there are 44 little guys. Just a few pictures here..

They are looking good. As far as the miss bars go I think its more genetic then anything. I have over 150 oc babies from 4batches and not a single miss bar. I don't remove any water until about 3 weeks old so I'm sure my water quality isn't the best. I simple start with 3g of water and then by about day 4-5 I start to add about a half gallon a day until its full. Then i do about a 5-10%water change per week.

I have never gone that long without cleaning the water I might have to try that next time I have a batch to hatch.. If they ever lay again it has been over a 1 month to 1 1/2 months since I moved them and no eggs.
Temp in the fry's tank stays pretty constant maybe 1 or 2 degrees changes but pretty much stayed the same temp.

Thanks Mark. Been trying to hatch and raise them since November of last year. Well today I finally seperated the runts from the larger siblings. Their markings are quite interesting for being true percs.

Weird huh????
There are some others that have some unusual markings that were on the other side of the tank... They are all unique in their own tiny way...
Last weekend I moved the runts to their own tank.. Simply amazing to have more than one runt in a hatching like happens with cats & dogs.
